"I call my students, "My kids," because in our year together they aren't just kids on my class list. They become a part of my heart." Krissy Venosdale
Welcome to begindergarten. Our days are filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and play. This is a little bit about me . . .
My family, which includes myself, my husband Tim, and my two sons, have lived in Mitchell for the past twelve years. Previously, we lived in Webster City, Iowa, where I taught in several early childhood programs. My first teaching experience was as a kindergarten teacher in Yankton, South Dakota, where I taught for eight years. I am originally from White River, South Dakota.
In my “spare time” I enjoy walking and biking with my family, and camping, being a spectator at whatever sport my boys are involved in at the time. I am also an avid photographer and scrapbooker!
I am currently in my twenty third year of teaching in early childhood education. I graduated from SDSU with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, from USD with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and received my master’s degree from USD in early childhood special education.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your child and his or her development or progress, or wish to contact me, my telephone number at school is 995-3090, and my home number is 996-2301. My school email address is [email protected]
